Parks and Facilities

Hollywood is home to some great parks and recreation facilities where locals and visitors can get a break from the city’s fast pace. The parks here are managed by the Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks, which oversees dozens of green spaces, trails, and sports facilities in the area.
One of the most famous spots is Griffith Park, one of the largest urban parks in the country. It’s home to the Hollywood Sign, the Griffith Observatory, miles of hiking trails, and even the Los Angeles Zoo. If you’re looking for something smaller, Runyon Canyon Park is a favorite for its scenic views and popular hiking trails. For families, places like Hollywood Recreation Center and Yucca Park offer playgrounds, basketball courts, and community programs.
Altogether, Hollywood has around 20 parks and recreational facilities, ranging from large nature escapes to local community centers. Whether you’re into hiking, sports, or just need a place to relax, there are plenty of options to choose from.
